Thanks for all the help!
Think about your day. Who do you see for the majority of it? Who helps you with your daily tasks and projects? Who answers your questions? Who do you turn to during your day to fix a problem? Who do you call when something goes wrong? Today, this card is for that person. Say "thanks" to someone who really comes through for you on a daily basis.

Hope your day is as kind to you as you are to me.
Kindness makes a difference in this world. I've heard countless stories where someone I know was kind to someone else, and it surprised them. Whether it's holding the door for someone, giving a Sonic carhop a $20 tip instead of a $1 tip, or paying for someone's Uber, kindness surprises people. Is kindness so rare that people don't know how to comprehend it when it happens? This world is full of unkindness — from people we meet and conversations we see and hear to life circum

You can do anything
Big project coming up? Or maybe you know someone who's under a lot of stress. A short, handwritten note can give someone the confidence they need to overcome an obstacle. Print this card below, or save the graphic and text it to someone who could use a little extra motivation this week.

Today, take a moment to thank someone for giving you a hug when you didn't know you needed one or for listening you to complain about your day. Make sure the people in your life know how much you appreciate them. Print, cut and write in this card below. [Click to expand If you're running short on time today, save this graphic to your pho

A day of encouragement
Last night, I got a stack of cards and envelopes and just started writing. I was blown away when I finished writing and held in my hand the evidence of everyone in my daily life at work who helps and encourages me daily. A short, hand-written note doesn't do justice what all of these people do for me, but I hope it will mean something. Today is the National Day of Encouragement, and if you know a single person in the world, you know someone who needs encouragement. Print, cu

Dare to care
If you know one single person in this world, you know someone who needs encouragement. People need encouragement when they’re going through a hard time, but they also need encouragement when they don’t even realize they need it. Do you know when the best time to encourage someone is? Every time you think about it. Wednesday is the National Day of encouragement, and for the rest of the week, I want to make it really easy for you to encourage others. On this website for the re

Unexpected pleasure
I found a letter Jane Austen wrote while doing while doing some research on letters for a presentation I made at the Jane Austen Experience last Friday. It’s dated April 25, 1811, and it’s a response to a letter Jane had received from her sister. She writes, “My dearest Cassandra, I can return the compliment by thanking you for the unexpected pleasure of your letter yesterday, and as I like unexpected pleasure, it made me very happy.” I spoke to a group of people last weeken
